The City of Enterprise did not have a City Council meeting on this night.

At 6:30 p.m. City Administrator Michele Young and Admin. Assist. Lacey McQuead showed up at 6:30 p.m. to prepare for the work session and meeting.  Approx. 6:40 p.m. they went into the City Council Room.  About the same time Mayor Karvoski, Councilor Christman, and Guests Chantay Jett from Wallowa Valley Center for Wellness and Mike Wilson from Westby Assoc.

About 6:50pm Councilor Elliott came in the office to check his mail and announced smoke was coming for our offices.  We immediately evacuated and by 7pm Michele’s office window had burst and her office was in flames.

We are very thankful for the quick response of the Enterprise Police Department, Police Department and Public Works Department.  The City Hall part of the building was destroyed in the fire.
