The Enterprise City Council met in special session on Monday, October 5, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. for the purposes of holding an Executive Session as allowed by ORS 192.660(2)(a) regarding the hiring of a Public Officer, specifically a Chief of Police.

Those present were Mayor Steve Lear; Councilors Jenni Word, Laura Miller, Stacey Karvoski, Larry Christman, Bill Coffin and Dave Elliott; City Administrator Michele Young; City Attorney Roland Johnson

Special Guests:  Baby Samantha Miller

Press: Kathleen Ellyn of the Wallowa County Chieftain; Chuck Anderson of the Observer

Mayor Lear opened the public meeting. 

Mayor Lear stated that we will close the public session of our meeting for the purposes of  holding an Executive Session as allowed by ORS 192.660(2)(a) regarding the hiring of a Public Officer, specifically a Chief of Police.  Mayor Lear stated that we have met the requirements of the ORS as the public has had an opportunity to make public comment on this position and to meet the candidates at a Public Meeting held at the Community Connections on October 1, 2015.

Mayor Lear stated the press could remain but requested no reporting on what is discussed during the Executive Session.

Mayor Lear opened the Public Session.

Meeting adjourned at 6:26 p.m.
